As if I didn't post enough related to Spike Jonze's Her, I am back once again with a documentary brought to you by The Creators Project and Jonze's friend, Lance Bangs, chronicling the reactions to Jonze's film as well as featuring stories and reflections of their own experience with relationships, love, and technology. An array of artists from Author, Bret Easton Ellis to Comedian, Charlene Yi to even Opening Ceremony's Humberto Leon give testimonial of their experiences and you can't help but simply realize the beauty and tragedy of love. 

The doc takes us 360 on the different types and stages of relationships and it is presented in such a raw and intimate light, you are bound to be overwhelmed with emotion as we somberly nod in agreement to the reality of life that entails continuous growth and change. This is possibly my most favorite short doc I've seen in a while (also biased.)

The masterminds behind Rabies (2010), Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado return once again with thundering vengeance with Big Bad Wolves! Not only does the story, characters, and soundtrack dispel a potent trail of “badassness” but even the title helps elevate and cement Big Bad Wolves’ reputation to an unparalleled class of prestigious filmmaking. They take the overdone vengeance theme and presents a full 360 degrees on the issue from the perspective of the pedophile, victim’s father, and policeman. Representing the three corners of this love triangle, they tango back and forth, leaving us to question whose side we really are. Our expectations and perception of the human behavior is tampered with and by the end, we become whimpering sheeps unable to face the fangs of these monstrous creatures. A must watch!

Kristin from Sales on Film and I review Rebecca Zlotowski's Grand Central starring Tahar Rahim (A Prophet) and Lea Seydoux (Blue is the Warmest Color). One cay say that this film is an atomic kind of film considering that it takes place at a Nuclear plant with a juxtapositioning story of an equally dangerous love affair. Although, there are some technical things I liked about this film, this soap opera kind of story was just bland and uninventive. I guess it's just nice to see attractive people getting it on.

They're baaaacckk! I usually don't like popularity contests and that's all these award shows are! But when Amy Poehler (my ultimate fav) and Tina Fey teamed up last year to host The 70th Golden Globe Awards, it was one of the most outrageously fun nights in award season history! If you completely forgot all the crazy sheninigans that happened, let me refresh your memory: here, here, here or js watch the intro monologue! Not only are they going to be hosting The 71st Golden Globes this Sunday but will continue to give us the giggles till 2016!!! I'm definitely going to need some tissues for my tears (of laughter, duh). 

I guess that's not all that I should be excited for! The films in 2013 was one of the best yet and the competition is going to be super fierce. Like Beyonce FIERCE! So here we go! I am going to highlight in BLUE what I want to win and in RED who will most likely win.
