IVE MOVED TO A NEW LOCATION!

honestly, ive never seen any atom egoyan's films. before chloe, i had never heard of his award-winning films, exotica or the sweet hereafter which got numerous nominations at cannes. chloe is his most commercial film thus far. and although, i havent seen his films before, it is evident that chloe was concocted and manipulated by none other than a foreign director.

chloe is a 2009 erotic thriller starring the beautiful julianne moore, liam neeson, and amanda seyfried. catherine (moore) suspects her husband (neeson) is cheating on her. to discover the truth, she hires an escort (seyfried) to investigate and eventually pursue her husband. through unforeseen events, chloe puts the family in great danger.

it is no surprise that they had erin crassida wilson (secretary, fur) write the screenplay based on the 2004 french film, nathalie. when describing chloe, erotic is just scratching the surface. the film was surprisingly and refreshingly raw. although initially its chloe's story, it soon swivels the outcome as catherines. and even though you have never seen seyfried in a role like this before, it is moore who commands the screen every time. like catherine, the audience is taken on a journey that shockingly takes drastic turns and falls. its a brain teaser trying to figure out whats the truth and who to believe. it is not any easier deciphering catherine's true intentions without pointing fingers to her estrogen induced emotions.

you have never seen moore and seyfried hotter together. they share a particular intimate scene and not to be a perv, but i was grinning with glee by the unrelenting presentation of real intimacy and affection. this is a real gem. but chloe's lack of emotional layers arnt peeled or revealed as much as we would like for it to be. nonetheless, the film is completely spellbinding and well, erotic. just that word makes you want to uncover the truth and watch the film without feeling like a perv. spike jonze's highly anticipated short, im here, is finally released on imheremovie.com. this 30- minute robot love story was premiere at the 2010 sundance film fest and then thereafter at the berlinale.

filmofilia.com says, I’m Here is a love story about two robots living in contemporary Los Angeles. The sad-eyed robot librarian Sheldon (Andrew Garfield) leads a lonely and methodical life, until he one day meets Francesca, a creative and free-spirited female robot (played by Sienna Guillory). Robot romance develops and the story is just as beautiful as it is unpredictable.

oh and dont worry, if you get to the site which is set up as a theater and expect to wait for the next screening for multiple hours at a time. considering that it is globally released, im sure fans from all over the world have already filled up the seats as soon as possible. but patience my friends because jonze's new film sounds like a masterpiece worth waiting for... :D

my favorite thespian and one of my beloved auteur is calling it quit. yes it is kate winslet and sam mendes. i dont think kate winslet needs an introduction. as an actress, she evokes such pure and powerful emotions that speak a thousand words even with one glance. and thats what makes a great actress. i would rank her along the lines of meryl streep, hands down. her performances in the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, little children, the reader, and revolutionary road have wholly solidified her as the most prominent and adaptable actress.

as for her husband, his reputation stands just as strong against hers. sam mendes has directed some of the greatest films out to date. he made his first film debut with american beauty back in 1999 which won best picture and best director. after several films, he brought another tour-de-force film which is one of my all time favorites, revolutionary road.

and to hear that one of hollywood's most respected couple splitting up is completely heartbreaking. but as with life, there are ups and downs, twists and turns. and no matter how hard you try to navigate your own life, its sometimes slips out of your hands, no matter how hard you try to savor it. and like i always say, true romances never have happy endings.

ComingSoon.net has your exclusive first look at the Pixar short that will play in front of Toy Story theaters on June 18. The short, titled "Day & Knight," was directed by Teddy Newton and is described as follows:

When Day, a sunny fellow, encounters Night, a stranger of distinctly darker moods, sparks fly! Day and Night are frightened and suspicious of each other at first, and quickly get off on the wrong foot. But as they discover each other's unique qualities--and come to realize that each of them offers a different window onto the same world--the friendship helps both to gain a new perspective.

it looks adorable! and considering its pixar, im sure we wont be let down!

firstshowing interviewed my new fav korean director, bong joon-ho. his latest film, mother finally arrived in america so be sure to watch it, its quite exhilarating and will keep you on the edge of your seats till the veeeeeery end. cant wait to see it again!

i got something crazy up my sleeve! giggle giggle!

I first saw Mother in Cannes last year, so I've got to say I'm a huge fan. I love this film and I love The Host as well. I want to start with where the idea for Mother came from and how you developed it?

Translator: I'm going to explain in two parts. The first [reason] is because of the actress - Kim Hye-ja - she was where I got the inspiration from and she was the starting point for the story. She's a very iconic mother as a national people's mother in Korea, but I wanted to flip that around, that image of her, and show this kind of mad, crazy side.

And the second part is I wanted to explore the relationship between a mother and her son. So out of the four parental relationships, father and son, father and daughter, mother and son, mother and daughter, I felt that the mother and son relationship is the most powerful. It's instinctual in an animalistic way. Especially, you carry the son in the womb for a long time and the fact that they're of a different sex, when the baby comes out, there's kind of a weird tension between a mother and a son and especially in Korea, that relationship between the way a mother takes care of a son…

So there is that one male and female relationship between the mom and son and especially in Korean culture when the son gets married. So his wife and the mom, they have kind of a strange love triangle, a weird tension between the mom and the son and the son's wife. [About] 70 to 80% of the Korean dramas that you see on Korean television, those are kind of based on that tension, that drama that happens between those three people.

I'd love to touch on a couple of things you said. First, how did you even find Kim Hye-ja and get her to star in the film? Did you convince her to come back, or did she feel this was her time to return to cinema, or how did that work?

Translator: She's been acting for 40 years, but mostly it's been in television and she's only done actually two features. But his previous film, Memories of Murder, she was a fan of that film, so she really liked that. In terms of approaching her, when he did, she said, 'Oh, you're the director of Memories of Murder.' So she was very open to the idea of being– In 2004, he first pitched the idea of the story and since then, they've developed it more. But the fact that the mother [spoiler removed]. The whole end part has remained since then and she really liked that idea of a mother turning into that kind of character. She wanted to try something where it's a little different from the past roles that she's done where she played more of like a warm, kind mother.

Bong Joon-ho: If she refused that story, I would've had to give up on the project because…
